Edward Clucas

Chairman

Ted is a graduate of Dublin University. His commercial career commenced in London and in 1972 became a Jersey resident. In 1976 founded a Jersey Trust Company. He therefore has over 28 years experience at a senior level in the Jersey trust and company administration business.

In 1986 Ted founded Herald Trust which has grown to become one of the larger independent Trust Companies in Jersey. He is the chairman of the company and a senior figure in the Jersey trust industry having been president of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies for four years until 2001.

Ted’s considerable experience in property and other commercial and trading companies enables him to support clients in a practical and personal way which proves invaluable.


Robert Roynon-Jones

Robert is a graduate of Edinburgh University and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants having worked for Deloitte & Touche and KPMG. Robert has worked in Jersey for over 20 years and has over 15 years experience in the trust and company administration industry. He has been a director and shareholder of Herald since 1992. Robert specialises in offshore structures dealing with property holding and property investment. He is experienced in UK tax matters and also has an Investment Advisory Certificate.


Robert Sharp

Marketing Director

Robert is a graduate of Oxford University and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants having qualified with Deloitte & Touche in London. He has been resident in Jersey for 20 years and has considerable experience as a forensic accountant in litigation support roles and was Deloitte & Touche’s offshore fund expert. He has been engaged at director level in the Trust and Company administration business since 1995. Robert is managing director of Herald Sports Promotions International Limited, The Herald group’s sports wealth management business specialising in the commercial exploitation of the Image Rights of sports professionals. Robert has an investment advisory certificate and is involved in the appointment and monitoring of investment managers. Robert has been a director and shareholder of Herald Trust since 1998.


Alan Blanchet
Dip. (ITM), TEP, Int.Dip (AML), IAC
Director

Alan has many years experience in the international financial services industry, initially in investment/portfolio administration before moving into trust and company administration, with particular focus on trading structures.

Alan holds the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and the International Compliance Association’s International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering (Reporting and Prevention).

Alan joined Herald in 2002 and was appointed a director the following year. He handles investment holding, properties and trading structures and deals with Herald Trust French speaking clients.



Ben Bryant

Director

Ben joined the Herald Board in 2006 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants having worked for Price Waterhouse and KPMG. Ben has worked in Jersey for over 18 years and has over 14 years experience in the trust and company administration industry. Ben specialises in offshore structures dealing with property holding and property investment.


Nick Marshall

Consultant

Nick is an English solicitor who before coming to Jersey in 2004 worked in several of Manchester’s premier law firms, dealing with a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, MBOs and MBIs, corporate restructurings and flotations, as well as a variety of media and sports law matters. He also helped found and was a senior executive of a sports marketing company which was subsequently floated on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.

Nick provides advice and assistance on a broad range of company, commercial and trust matters and works closely with Robert Sharp in connection with the activities of Herald Sports Promotions International Limited.

As well as acting as a consultant he has his own law firm based in Jersey – Hyde Marshall Associates - specialising in sports and corporate legal matters.
