Terms of Business

Herald aims to provide a high quality and cost effective service.  Whilst certain elements of Herald’s services have standard fees, because of the often bespoke nature of arrangements, we encourage prospective clients and their advisors to discuss their proposed arrangements with us to enable us to provide more appropriate and tailored fee quotations.

Herald’s current terms of business and questionnaires are available online in PDF (portable document format). To read these documents you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine. You can download Acrobat for free from Adobe.

With effect from 3rd June 2008, Jersey introduced a Zero/Ten tax system so that most client companies will now pay tax at 0%. As a result the exempt company fee of £600 no longer charged. Jersey has instead introduced a Goods & Services Tax (GST), currently levied at a standard rate of 3%. Herald is exempt from GST as it has registered as an International Services Entity (ISE) and will not charge GST at 3%. However, it is required to pay an ISE fee for its business and for administered entities other than trusts. Herald will recover the ISE fee payable directly from the client structure.
